Biographie Talía Baños Sánchez

Born in Burgos, Spain, in 1986, Talía began her music studies at the age of 9, with the Armenian teacher Gaiane Pogosova.

Talía finalised her musical bachelor degree in Conservatory Eduardo Martinez Torner in Spain with Alexei Mijlin, and complemented her studies in Berlin with Stephan Picard.

Right after, she completed her Master’s studies at University of the Arts Bremen with Stefan Latzko, where she encountered and developed a personal interest for historical music performance for the first time.

Finally, in light of her new passion, Talía studied in Basel, at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with David Plantier and Leila Schayegh, specialising in Barock viola in chamber music and ensemble performance. There, she received Masterclasses from Amandine Beyer, Chiara Bianchini, Marc Hantai or Jörg-Andreas Bötticher.

As an artist, Talía has performed in different international festivals and gained orchestral experience at the Festival of Young Artists Bayreuth, the Philharmonie der Nationen and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

Nowadays, Talía is committed to the historical music performance, collaborating with different Ensembles like Capriccio Barockorchester, Bremer Barockorchester, Hassler Consort and engaging in new projects like Chiave di Arco.
